Here is a "how-to" regarding putting pictures in your posts.

First you will have to upload your image to a hosting site.  There are many freely available hosting sites but not all of them support "hotlinking".  It is very important that the hosting site supports hotlinking otherwise when you try to link to your picture, it will be replaced with a "banner" for the hosting website.Free picture hosting sites that support hotlinking include: tinypic.com, imagevenue.com and photobucket.com. (There are other sites as well but I am not going to provide a list of them)

Photobucket is one of the more popular sites as it allows you to group all of your uploaded photos into an account that you create so you can access them at any time.  Imagevenue and Tinypic also have this functionality, but they also allow anonymous upload that does not require you to create an account.

Once you upload your picture to the hosting site of your choice, you will need to get the URL address for the picture. (example pictures are from Tinypic, but all image hosting sites will have similar links)
The hosting site will present you with several different links that you can use to access your picture.

<!--[if !vml]-->
<!--[endif]-->

You will need to make sure that you select the correct link for the NERacing message board.  The URL format that you will want to select is the "Direct Link for Layouts"

Note: Different hosting sites will have different link titles. You do not want to use any of the links that include [IMG] or <a href> as those will not work.

<!--[if !vml]-->
Now that you have the URL to your photo you can post this image in a message on the board.

When creating a message you will need to click on the "insert image" icon (highlighted in picture by mouse)

<!--[if !vml]-->
<!--[endif]-->

This will pop-up a box where you will need to put the URL to your picture

<!--[if !vml]-->
<!--[endif]-->

Once you click "ok" the image will be imported into your message.

<!--[if !vml]-->
<!--[endif]-->

If for some reason the link that you entered does not load into your message, try using one of the other links provided by the hosting company to access your image.
